This was the reason why we started doing it that way.
Club members wanted it so you could build a decent deck without worrying about the rares until later. You often end up with at leats one good rare even if you come last, so it worked well.
Sadly people drop and have a habit of walking out with the rares these days.
Not only that but a couple (yes 1 or 2) have made a lot of noise about no prize support. So from now on, unless a number of members brings it up on a club night, the club will do Wizards prize support. Which frankly is pants, so the top 3-4 people get a prize.
Standard will not change though.
Honestly this was not a great event with a few people moaning and groaning throughout. Which was a great shame as it was for a club member that everyone loved.
Lets hope the next tournament is less about people and more about the event.
Please remember this is just a game.
Enjoy it, or not, please remember we don't want unconstructive comments during an event. And if you really *must*, please talk to one of us away from the main event, in another room perhaps.
So saying it was nice to see Stu win this year.
Here's hoping I win next year. _________________ Elite the best game ever, maybe,
Wayne the best friend ever, without a doubt. |

I agree we should have prize support in the form of betrayer's boosters, but the event was still pretty cool. I agree that wizard's prize support is poo, and that impacts how much we can do and will lose us support, but if people are gonna run away with rares then we aren't losing anything out of changing the structure to be honest. Also, keeping rares doesn't usually impact decisions on picks, because, to be fair, who will you sell the card to? The only time I let it influence me is when I see a foil extraction/ravager/jitte etc. in which case, unless there is a seriously broken common/uncommon which would say "I win" in my deck, I would always pick the rare, but that's because I know traders who will buy it off me for enough for it to be worth my while. _________________ Don't let the Evil Zombie Blood-Sucking Voodoo Squirrels take over the world.

Wurmjockey online.
Team bthedark leader.

drop me a line at zoneofenders4@hotmail.com or messenger me.
